About Stonehouse Veterinary Practice
We are very proud to open this new independent veterinary practice. Our vets, Dan Pablo, Imola and Nicki have over 78 years of veterinary experience between them. They have gained considerable knowledge from working in practice over this time and have developed their skills further through additional training. This expertise allows us to offer very high standards of care and a wide range of medical and surgical services. We know how important your pet is and take great pride in the quality of our consultations. We endeavour to listen, to be approachable, and treat every pet as if they were our own. Rest assured you and your pet are in great hands.
Dr Pablo Garrido
I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the historic University of Zaragoza in 1996. After working for 3 years in Spain I moved to England in 1999. I have lived in Stroud for 20 years and have spent the majority of this time working at a busy veterinary hospital. For the majority of this time I was one of the partners before leaving in 2019. It has been my dream to set up a new veterinary practice and I am extremely excited to start on this new journey with Dan.
I wish for Stonehouse Veterinary Practice to be an important part of our community, offering a great service for our clients and providing high quality care to our patients. I very much enjoy surgery, and have a particular interest in medicine, especially ultrasonography.
When not working I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife, three children and two dogs. I am a keen cook, enjoy golfing and sailing, and can often be found cycling around Stroud.
Dr Daniel Butts
I qualified from the prestigious Royal Veterinary College in 2012. After working for 9 months near my hometown in South Wales I worked for a busy group of practices in Hertfordshire for several years. In 2015 I moved to Stroud and worked as one of the lead surgical vets at a busy hospital for nearly 4 years. Following this I worked for one year in a large university referral hospital before working in Somerset for 18 months. I moved back to the Cotswolds in January 2022 to set up Stonehouse Veterinary Practice alongside my wife, Imola, and my friend and colleague, Pablo.
I have a strong interest in both medicine and surgery and have attended many post-graduate training courses, ranging from abdominal ultrasound to advanced orthopaedic surgery. My experience and training enables Stonehouse Veterinary Practice to offer high-quality care and a wide range of procedures in-house. Above all else, I am an extremely caring vet who will do my upmost best for the animals under my care.
I have a very strong interest in sport and currently enjoy running and going to the gym. I love spending time with family and friends and look forward to weekends away exploring the coast and countryside with my wife, Imola, and walking our two lovely Labradors, Noah and Barley. Imola and I also welcomed a wonderful baby boy to our family last year.

I initially qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2010 with a degree in Veterinary Science, before returning to complete a second degree in Veterinary Medicine to become a veterinary surgeon in 2015. I worked in a large veterinary hospital in Stroud for nearly 4 years before spending 3 years working at a rural practice in Somerset. It's has been very exciting to move back to the Cotswolds to set up Stonehouse Veterinary Practice with Dan and Pablo.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary but have a particular interest in medicine, and I am enrolled on the BSAVA Small Animal Internal Medicine certificate. Becoming a vet has been a dream of mine since a child and I love giving my all to the profession. I am extremely caring and kind, and will always do my best for the pets under my care.
I am a very keen athlete, competing in both the 200m and 400m sprint events. I was extremely proud to medal for both of these events in the Hungarian U23 Nationals in 2010. I regularly attend the gym and enjoy swimming. I look forward to spending time with family and friends, and our two wonderful Labradors. Dan and I also recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy into our family.

I graduated with a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from Birmingham University in 1993 and went on to qualify from University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 1997.
I initially worked in Devon for six years doing mixed practice before concentrating on small animal practice. I moved to Stroud in 2004 to work in a local veterinary hospital and worked there for fifteen years.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work both medicine and surgery.
My free time is spent with my family and friends. I enjoy playing music, running and being a taxi service for my children! We have two dogs, Jet and Lily and a cute cat called Toffee.
